Polls

I was just wondering why members need to have mods attach polls. Because of the Junior member system, surely you cut out idiots that would make stupid polls. It can just get annoying to make a topic that's basically all about the poll, then it's takes a while (agreed it's not long. But longer than if we could just make it ourselves) for the poll to actually get up.

I used to be on a large forum (say 70,000 members) that allowed polls to be posted by members, and there was extremely rarely ever any poor ones (and yes I was looking for them, I was a manager on there) that needed removing/editing. Now, there's alot more chance of their being bad ones on their since theres lots more people.

Hmm, Members were allowed to make polls last time I checked. You have to remember check the appropriate box prior to posting a new thread, and then you need to put in the details before a certain time limit. After that time, only Moderators can edit a poll. I guess what you've seen are the occasions when a Members has forgotten to check the box, or run out of time when filling out the details, and the forum Moderator has edited the thread for them.

I think it's indeed just a case of forgetting to add or running out of time?

It's possible that a forumpermission broke down, if that's the case I'll fix as soon as I know which forum broke.
