    Default Bargain parts?

    Hey,

Does anybody know an cheap, reliable online internet store (that's not ebay, I jsut dont want to use it) that sells PC parts. I'm in no rush, but sometime before m2tw I want another 256mg ram in my machine (currently I have a gig.)

Oh and also my knowledge is limited, so help me out. On http://dacomputers.com/products/catindex.php?cn=MM a local stores online store there's all different types of ram (at least i think there different types). What do I want? Whats the worst? Best? etc.

    List:

DDR | Memory Cards | SDRAM | USB Flash drives |

To find out what kind of RAM you need, http://www.crucial.com/promo/index.asp?prog=desktop2
they can scan your computer, or (if you know what you have), use the drop-down menus to find the right type & amount. You can buy direct from them, but don't have to.
Be well. Do good. Keep in touch.

Mark me down for a second vote on NewEgg. Nine out of ten geeks approve of this online wonderland. They stock what they say they stock, they ship when they say they will, they take all reasonable returns, and their prices are always near the bottom. What's not to love?

newegg is fine but but the prices have gone up noticeably esp after the facelift about a year ago. Best bet is to check out zipzoomfly, mwave as well.
The user reviews can be bs since they are vetted, I don't know if they changed the system but it irritated me at one point.

My town's MIS department uses Tiger Direct to get parts.

I think it's like a newegg except for cheaper (less high-end) parts.

Just in case the point didn't get through, www.newegg.com is the best place for parts overall. Perhaps we should make a thread with links to good sites for us techgeeks and I say NewEgg be at top...

Great article about NewEgg on Anandtech this morning. A pictorial walkthrough, very interesting.

I've been using these guys for years & the've never let me down. Plus you'll be hard pressed to find lower prices.
