I wasn't really sure on which part of the board to post this, but since this isn't really about the common gameplay and I expect to find the real smart people in here anyway, I'll just put it here.
Here's the thing: I've been wanting to mess around a bit with the Movie Editor that comes with RTW and BI, so in order to make the battles look better (more epic), I figured I ought to create them first in the Battle Editor. That way I could at least control the AI's formation at the start, and choose the more interesting battlefields (maybe even editing them a bit to fit my purposes).
So, in order to have more-or-less epic looking battles, I thought I should have very big units. The documentation for the editor says that you can give each unit a maximum size of 300 men as you place it in the editor. However, having done this and then loading the battle, I found that all the units had their size reduced to about the maximum size on huge setting in the normal game. Now I'm very much ignorant of all the finer points of making adjustments to this game (never having made any myself) and I'm quite at a loss. Does anybody here have an idea for how to get the units to show up in battle with the size I entered in the battle editor?
A last thing, I'm not sure if it makes any difference: I'm trying this in BI. I'm not sure wether this works the same in RTW, I haven't tried it (and I think BI's units look better anyway). Also, the units do show up with the number I entered if that number was a small one (I suppose that means smaller than the largest allowed on "huge").
Thanks in advance for any helpful (or at least friendly) comments.
Edit: I just tried it in RTW proper and it does the very same thing. I must rely on your wisdom now.
