Default A wee note of thanks.

EB team, you are great people. Just thought I would stress that. You have extended the life of poor old vanilla RTW, provided a truly challenging, accurate and fun game, plus all for free. The beta, though unfinished and buggy, provides an exciting glimpse at the future. Kudos to all. This (virtual) round's on me.

Yes, the mod is awesome. I've played RTR (good), SPQR (good in a diffent way), and EB. The thing that makes EB stand out is the scripting. Yes, the depth of the factions is very good, charachtor triats are very good, but it is the scripts which make the game more challenging.

Yes my god! Did I thank EB for all their work putting this mod together I don’t think I did?

Thank you very much all concerned.

But I must admit I have stopped playing at the moment, it was driving me insane.

I also have not played recently (about a week). But its not EB's fault...its more all the blue book exams and essays I'm grading (sad week). I hope to get back to it this weekend, to explore more of the cool things you guys have worked into the beta.

Ah, I have tons of schoolwork as well...... however I have managed to carve out the greatest empire in the known world as the Casse and just beat the Romans into submission with their fancy Triarii and Principes and whatnots. Pfft. Ryecalawre will rule the world I tell's ya! The songs of the wolf will run wild! Aouh-aouh-aoouuuuuuuhhhhhhhhh!!!!

    I love you EB.

Yes I must add my thanks and praise onto this thread. I am a long-time RTR player and always loved that mod. Now I find I can't go back to it because I'm used to the best. I couldn't play a Roman campaign now that didn't have the possibility of one of my Generals receiving a triumphus or getting the name Africanus for beating the Carthaginians, or that has restricted movement in winter or summer depending on where you are. The traits now act like real traits instead of just some random words that have this effect or that effect - they make sense and can be lost as well as gained.

From the first moment I fired this mod up, I have been totally hooked on it - to the extent that it has totally permeated my waking and sleeping thoughts.

A big fat thank you to a fantastic team.

Yeah this is good, let's have this thread for everyone to post their sentiments of love for EB. C'mon, you know they deserve it

If I was smart, I would have a witty punchline in this sig that would make everyone ROTFL.

    I'm not smart.
