    Default A Baktrian conquest.

A Baktrian conquest by Copperhaired Berserker!

Yes, it’s Baktria. What do you expect!?!

Welcome back! As you may know, I posted a preview of my first three turns. After getting a good response, and some suggestions, I have done a proper story. So on we go……

Baktria, not a nation, not a empire, a slave. A slave to the Arche Suliukian dogs. They think they can boss us around, us worthy and great people. But today, shall not be the case. I, the satrap to this great faction will make us people independent! I shall lead you all to victory. We shall conquer all of the known world!!!!!

Damn cheesy Hollywood speeches. Anyway, it’s time. I shall show my progress on my campaign with the blue faction of the east. How will I do in this mission? Only time will tell.

Here’s the rules: No save/loading, VH/M, (That’s the best settings, BTW.) and non-restricted camera, for taking screenies.

There is Diodotus I in one of those coins. He’s the Baktrian Faction leader, and is in the capital. He is a good manager, and I’ll keep him in the capital. The loading screen is pretty cool, well, in my opinion anyway.

First of all, let’s check our situation. Very bad indeed. Bactria, our base of operations is in great debt. The land is rocky, and brigands can attack the city anytime. To the west are the Arche Sulukians, our leaders. Ha! Their cities are very vulnerable to attack. And they will learn the hard way. But first, we need more than one city. To the east are two armies, and two Elutheroi cities. I know that to go up to the cities to the north of our armies would be foolish. The HAs would rip my soldiers apart, and that is just the garrison. So what we need to do is attack the southern one. That’s the safest option.

    Here are the armies:

Not bad. The armies are quite good. See the 4-unit army? The general in command is well, good in combat, but hasn’t got much potential. Check his traits:

Well, at least he doesn’t believe in the moon people. But we have our shiny hats!!

The other army general is a bit more promising…..

Back to the armies. There is two units of Pantidopi Planaxiai, 2 Thanbrava units, and 3 Eranaster sdfnsdjhgfusehi (Yes, the fancy names is making my brain explode.)

The financial situation is bleak. One thing to remember is that upkeep is HUGE. Well, compared to Vanilla anyway. Check the Mad Arsaba’s upkeep. I’ll disband the unit.

He isn’t much use anyway. The general’s are brilliant calvary so the Mad arsaba was unnessary. So on to more matters. The unit of Pantidopi Planaxiai and Daha gfdkhjgjgkjhghgsjfhgfThingyMajigy at the capital are of no use, so let’s disband them. That’s the debt down. And with the heavy taxes, the debt has been put down to about -1000, which is better than nothing. I’ll build some roads, which will take 6 turns to build.

So that is all done. All we need to do is wait……

And you’ll also need to wait for the next part. I hope you enjoyed it. And yes, I'm lazy, and I DID copy the pics from the preview!

Here are some random pics from my previous campaigns:

Sorry, but I may have to quit doing this campaign. You see, not only the uploading (No longer need to convert, so thanks to Malrubius) but also, The way I do campaign is doing a little bit, then pressing Crtl-alt-del or alt-tab and write out what happened. BUT, when I do that, it messes up thecontrols in the game, and so i can't continue. It is reallly fustrating. I need something to help me with this, and also a fast uploader.

I'd write notes in a journal or notebook and type it up later.

Ah! the Generals! they are numerous, but not good for much (especially if they're Languorous)!

That's what i do, Malrubius. I go on the game, play a bit of the gam, pressing Crtl-alt-del, and alt-del to swtich to Word, then writing out what happened, when go back. but as I said, doing crtl-alt del messes up controls. Oh, and i do copy and paste the text into the thread.

You can also just alt-tab between windows (you may need to run RTW in windowed mode for that. I believe it's -ne in the command line; -nm and -show_err are also good).

Here's how to set up command line switches for RTW (easy stuff)

Try using tab-alt Bererker. It should work.
