Religion bashing is not back in fashion. Religion has always been a subject of satire, like politics or the rich and famous.
All religions are being poked fun at, constantly - Buddhism, Catholicism, Hinduism and what not. This fact just goes unnoticed, because Buddhists, Catholics and Hinduists do not torch embassies over a cartoon taking the mickey.
