    Default Name the forum

As you can see we have got another, brand new sub-forum for the interactive histories and all kinds.

But as you can also see it has not got much of a name either, so we are open for suggestions as to what to call it.

We could call it 'Interactive History', which sounds a bit paradoxical. Why not 'Speculative History', doesn't that come close? Or Kraxisms, after the inventor and all times champion?
P.S.: This was really fast! Excellent!!

Now that you mention Abbey and War Room I thought what about:

    Chapter House?`

See? Warlike and has Chapter as in chapters in the stories.

    [EDIT] Senate is nice too..

Right! We are still in the monastary. But we do not only discuss, we do discuss and rewrite history. So why not calling it 'scriptorium'?

Al right! (Trying to calm down!) What are the other building in a monastry?

I guess making "the Mosque" a sub-forum of "the Monastery" wouldn't really help though...

Hey you completely ignore my Chapter House.

It is a monastery but one that involves a lot of political dealings, warlike tendencies and deep thoughts. And who can deny the name itself, CHAPTER doesn't fit?

I like Chapter House, reminiscent of 40k, and has a wonderfully terrible pun in it.

It would be...erm...inaccurate. You would pray at a mosque, as well as study but not tell tales or discuss alternative history. Of course I mean the mosques in the high ages of Muslims; they're deathly places nowadays.

But "Medrese" (or "Madrasah" ) would be fitting. (The original is مدرسة, let the Arabic experts pull out the best transliteration if necessary. )

At any rate I would prefer a classical word (with Greek/Latin/Arabic/Hebrew origin) over a modern one.

    Could work very well...

I am biased towards Chapter House of course, Senate and this last one Akademia.

I think we should at least attempt to keep the name within an extended sphere of the Monastary. I agree that Senate might not fit very well but it is certainly true that it fits the situations we have when engaged in the stories.

    Chapter House!
    When I was a child
    I caught a fleeting glimpse
Out of the corner of my eye.
I turned to look but it was gone
I cannot put my finger on it now
    The child is grown,
    The dream is gone.
