    Default Sound files help

    Hello,

I am interested in getting into the sound, music, voice files for STW.
Has anyone done this before and could give me some info on getting them.

Are they in a file type like rome?

Is there an un-pak'er for STW like the one built for Rome?

Do I even need the pak extracter?

I haven't played for years, are the voices in english with japanese accent or in actual japanese?

    Just wondering before I start.

    thanks for the help

I'm not sure what you're asking.

Once you've the game installed the sound files can be found
    under
    Shogun_Total War/sounds/.
    Shogun_Total War/voices/ and
    Shogun_Total War/foices/
They are in .wav format. The voices are available in your language
    and japanese (foices).
They can not be downloaded from anywhere.
Extracting them from the CD directly is not possible to my knowledge.

Hi sorry I'll try to clear what i am seeking,

I was just wondering if the sound files in STW were in a pak file that would need to be extracted like the sound files in Rome needed vizeretecs (sorry, how ever spelt) unpaker.

If they are not paked that is great.

If they are paked is there a specific program kicking around to upak them?

Well R'as explained it well, then. Those folders are the places you can find the files. Most likely you will run into Japanese and English speech.
