    Default Free C++ IDE?

    Any good free (or open source) C++ IDE's out there? I'm using Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0 but are there any alternatives people recommend?

    Last year in Uni I used Dev c++, http://www.bloodshed.net/download.html

    I found it a pretty good all round IDE especially since its free.

    Code::Blocks is another good open source IDE, personally I like it more than Dev-C++.

    I used Dev C++ a little, I feel it is a lot simpler than Microsoft Visual C++ ones
