Actually, I believe that was a reference to the Avingon Papacy, at which point the Avingon pope declared the Rome papacy null and void, which technically means that the pope lived in France... but then again, at the same time, the Italian Cardinals elected their own pope in Rome and declared the Avingon papacy null and void, which means the pope didn't live in France... so...Originally Posted by antiochus epiphanes
