Walkind Dead season 3, starts out weak, but becomes better than the older seasons. Zombies are always awesome, period.

After Lucia was a pretty good movie, one of the few that really touched me. There are some weak points (like the extremely easy kidnapping), but overall it was great.
Acting was its strongest point, I was positively surprised by the Latinoamerican actors or I maybe I was too influenced by soaps like Juana la Virgen.

Sex Tape - maybe it was supposed to be a comedy? If you're significant other gets this and expect you to watch it with her find a spot where she can't see your eyes and get some good nap time in.

Antichrist, some people will probably say it's brilliant because it won prices at Cannes and most of all because it was made by Lars va- I mean on Trier. But it's just torture porn with needless sex-scenes that show a lot. I got youporn if I want to marvel at penetration. And I don't enjoy watching vagina's being mutilated and penisses cumming with blood. I must be weird for simply not getting it.

Big Hero 6. I was disappointed. Nowhere near as good as Frozen or Wreck it Ralph, this feels not much more than an animated action movie. It's not bad, the action sequence and animation are well done, but I felt it lacks character buildup and development. The humour is mostly for boys, not much wit or food for thought.

    The Imitation Game

Really quite an excellent movie, Cumberbatch delivers a fantastic performance, I would highly recommend seeing it.

August: Osage Country with Meryl Streep and Julia Roberts, as well as The German Doctor are excellent films, especially the latter. Mengele was portrayed very efficiently and I liked the subtle doll reference.

You have to see this movie. Don't listen to critics...judge it for yourself.

8.5-9/10, not 10/10. Good film, enjoyed it. Final sequence from Texas memorial/funeral service WAS 10/10.

    American Hustle

Overall good acting, decent plot, but it was far too long and drawn out. Things got confusing and that was even with my full attention with it.

    The Lord of the Rings.
I started reading the books when i was about 12-13 and have loved this epic adventure ever since.
The movie follows the main themes very well; some things are missed but that is no surprise.
What struck me as I watched were really two things:

    1) an epic that stresses sacrifice and the "good fight"; likely part of what makes it a great story, but a clear call to be willing and ready to take up arms;

    2) an ode to both a class divided world and a racially segregated world;

Silly Bunny! I hear most of you say (eyes rolling to the ceiling) I am just astounded that I these ignored themes for all this time.
Still a great story and well told; I'm just surprised how much it requires you to overlook to truly enjoy it.

Just watched the last, two Woody Allen films and didn't like them much either:

Gigolo was a pretty bad movie, with the humourous scenes being limited to satirizing Jews. They'd have been funny, if they hadn't been being repeated continously.

Moonlight was better, I liked the first part, but the end was ridiculously hollywoodish. Also, it was quite a predictable movie, I had guessed the mystic's trick, since their first encounter.

Sinister. It is sinister. Worth watching if you can get past the truly horrific first scene. A must-see if you like horror-movies.

Ironclad, I you like brutal medieval combat, and we all do here, you will have a blast. It's not a particulary good movie but the fighting scenes are awesome.

Edge of Tomorrow was a really original and refreshing sci-fi film. Tom Cruise knows how to pick good sci-fi films.

Remember The Martian? Apparently, the movie adaptation is coming out at the end of the year.

Matt Damon has the lead role. Ridley Scott directed.

I got the feeling Hollywood was going to turn a nice example of collectivist-fantasy hard scifi into boring action dross, especially given the relatively-slow pace of the source material, and the recent trend over the past few years with Hollywood action-scifi.

So I looked up the screenwriter on IMDB.

2017 Untitled Spider-Man Reboot (screenplay) (announced)
    Robopocalypse (screenplay) (announced)
    Untitled Cloverfield Sequel (screenplay) (announced)
2016 The Sinister Six (screenplay) (pre-production)
    2015 The Martian (screenplay) (post-production)
Hmm, that doesn't look to impressive. Well, let's see his past work.

    2013 World War Z (screenplay)
2012 The Cabin in the Woods (written by)

    ...

    Cloverfield
And episodes of Lost, and Alias,

For me, absolutely the best of "Blood and Ice Cream" trilogy, although other two are also fantastic.

    Agreed.

Watched Serpico, very good film. Al Pacino is magnificent.

Though the second love interest isn't very interesting or well acted IMO and I wish they introduced the other good cop a bit earlier but all in all a solid film.

Interstellar, best movie I have seen for a while, my brother's choice of good movies never dissapoints. It's a long ride, after 3 hours you are exhausted because it's so intense but I really recommend it. It's science-fiction but always believable, wouldn't surprise me if it was a cooperation with NASA
