Thread: Eventpics / What are the relevant files ??

Default Eventpics / What are the relevant files ??

In bi/data/UI/roman I saw a file called evenpics. If I wanted to use these images to change the RTW images (which is use by RTR) for BI image like siege , sally etc, what file should I look into ? I know in vanilla RTW (and RTR) the eventpics and UI are inside the packs file.

Is there a way to change the image without unpacking the pack files etc by editing the relevant text files ? I also tried to change pictures and models for assasing and diplomats from BI into RTR, but in the game it still shows RTW/RTR assasins & diplomats in campaign map.

    Anyone have any ideas ?

Like i said at twc, look in descr_model_strat to change the assasin and spy models. As far as i know you cannot change the event pics through text files.

You can lusted, I'm not sure of the exact method off the top of my head, but you can change the event pics by text file. I'll look into it.

descr_event_images.txt is where it's at. Read the narrative at the top and it tells you the automatic path that it looks for fo the image. However you should be able to override that as Kagemusha does here.

And is it possible to add or remove them?

It's possible to change them, not to add more events. You can 'remove' them by defining a path that doesn't exist, then the graphic won't appear. The event will still however.

    Thx. ER

Then one could provide a mod with text-only event scrolls...I shall have to test if the image leaves a space or border of any kind.
