It's an open beta, just save often, I'm afraid. Although I have heard of some people (after they get a ctd and reloading to the same turn) not turning on the script for that turn and adding money to any faction as it seems to help. I haven't tried that as I haven't ever really gotten a perma ctd except for the 246 bug, but I just don't load the script for that year.

You won't get many ctd's at all with the patch. I don't get them anymore now honestly. It will be out very soon, but no dates are given on it. Sorry.

well this ctd repeats everytime i end the turn,with every faction i have played this happens.can i get around it do i have to wait for the patch?

hace you tried taking control of the faction which causes the CTD. I have had 15 or so game ending CTDs in my campaign but after taking control of the faction that caused the problem and moving all their armies has resolved them all.

Have you applied the Olympics Bug fix? Do a search of the forum to see how to do it yourself. That alone has fixed most of the CTD's I've run into.

Yup. I also had an hardcore CTD in 262 with E but the Olympic bug fix fixed it. Now I get a CTd maybee every 10 years and just reload to continue.

Make sure you add the +1 influence to all instances of winning the Olympics, not just the one in the thread.
Failing that: when exactly does it CTD? Is it as soon as you hit end turn, or during an AI turn? What season is it (look at your leader's traits to get the exact season)? Have you tried adding "console_command control x" (where x is another faction) to the EBBS.txt file to see if it gets around the CTD?
