So how old is Agathokles

In your game? I have played as kh several times and he has always died on my first or second turn. BUT in the game I am currently playing he is still kicking at the ripe old age of 73.

I had a similar issue in RTW vanilla, when playing the Seleucids. In only one of my 20 or so games, my faction leader made it past turn 3 alive. In the one game he did survive, he lived to the ripe old age of 108.

As far as I can determine a Random Number Generator may simply be the cause of it; if you make slightly different moves at one point, it sometimes seems impossible for a family member to die, even at high age.

But as for Agothokles, I always have him die after just a couple of turns.

Most of my general die before age of 65, only had a couple that lived past that but none has made it to 70

One day I was playing Arthurian - Total War and I managed to keep King Arthur alive until I had CTD when he was 102 years old.

I've had Agathokles live into his mid-seventies, but only in like 1 out the 6 or 7 KH campaigns I've played....he usually croaks by turn 10.

I've had him with an age of 123 oO
But then he died in a battle^^
