Ive noticed in the features of this that it improves the graphics slightly. After installing would it also improve the graphics of the original SHOGUN?

I never noticed much difference in the graphics. With the expansion the campaign is changed greatly from original shogun. There are a lot of helpful features in MI but the campaign in original shogun was better.

If you hit the shift key it highlights your provinces with colors to show how happy they are. You can combine units whose total is more than 60. Those are amazingly handy. All building take half as long to build and cost half as much. Unit balances were changed. There is greater chance of having more than 2 clans in a battle. Suicide daimyos fixed (for the most part. and this might have been done in a patch). Hojo horde fixed (also maybe in a patch). Some maps were made bigger, with water. Some new terrain types. I'm sure there are plenty of other changes I'm forgetting.Originally Posted by Martok
The best thing about MI is actually the historical campaigns, which are loads of fun. Oh, and the campaigns starting at 1530, 1550, and 1580. I really enjoyed those.

A random thing I just thought of- units kick up dust when they march. They don't do that in vanilla STW.

I do remember (now that you mention it) how MI makes buildings quicker and cheaper to build. I always thought it was pretty ridiculous that a port cost 1500 koku and took 2 years to build. (And don't even get me started on castle costs and build times!)

Hmm, it's been a couple weeks since I last played Shoggy. Think I might have to get in another game here later today....![]()
