    Lies. Most obscure bands release special editions of their albums on vinyl or make vinyl-only releases very, very often.

    The bittie started collecting vinyl a little while ago, but she didn't get much beyond some Venom, Celtic Frost and Dimmu Borgir. They sounded fine, but a band can get the same effect by recording with analog instruments and then putting the music on CD.

    No, they really can't. I have CD and LP versions of the same records- the SAME records- and I can say for sure that, even if a band's music is recorded on analog, transferring to CD still requires that they transfer the music to digital- and it makes a difference, and not a good one at that.

    Trust me, LP sounds better.

    If the sound engineer knows what he's doing, losses will be minimal. I still prefer analog sound, but CD really isn't that bad, especially after years of live shows destroy your hearing..
