    Default Combining Fleets

Is there any way of combining fleets with Admirals with command stars? I am playing BI 1.6. It is really getting frustrating in so much that I have to move lots of little fleets around instead of just one large one.

Many of the fleets that I am building have Admirals with one command star and will not combine with other single star Admirals.

Why can't it be the same with land armies, where you can have armies with several generals in it?

    Can anyone help?
May the Foss be with you....

    Simple answer. No.

Why not just build bigger fleets?

what you can do is combine the fleets except for the admiral unit...

I got pretty annoyed with all the admirals too but on the other hand they are pretty good to have, in the end, so this is what I did. After a seabattle when some units needs refurnishing I move them into a solitaire admiral unit and "steal" units from him until the Admiral´s fleet is only one guy.

    Hi

    RTW V1.5

I'm with Grumfoss. I find annoying when fleets cannot be combined. Would have been nice to have been given the option.

a fleet never has 2 admirals... so I think it is logical...

basically it's also strange to have 2 generals per one army unit...

I mean if I can combine even family members into a single stack so that the most skilled commander takes charge, how come I can't do it with admirals?

On land they are all family members. At sea it is all about talent and professional ego.

Just think of it as helping reduce "Ominipotent Player Syndrome" as it removes complete control from the players hands. This only adds a little bit (very little, mind you) of realism in managing your empires. Sometimes the emperors just have to live with the peculiar personality traits of talented commanders.

I say get rid of the extra, useless admirals who have only got 1 level in the naval equivalent of good commander skill. It's easier to have one with an ancillary, and the good commander extra can be gotten by winning one even engagement I think. Also, don't use 0 star admirals to attack: this just gives you more annoying people to disband.
