Nanny tirelessly monitors forum discussions to make sure that everyone behaves. Though he is quick to admonish for off-topic messages and petty squabbling, he is generally slow to anger. Rather than wading into pitched battles, Nanny simply pulling the plug on combatants and bans repeat offenders. Weaker Warriors such as Innocence Abused, Weenie and Crybaby will run to Nanny for protection in the midst of battle.

Although I could be wrong; that's just my (and my sleeping, 'bored of org conversations' wife's) impression. Goofball thought I was Diplomat:

Diplomat butts into hot disputes, presuming that the combatants will welcome and appreciate his even-handed and eminently reasonable mediation. Frankly, he gets what he deserves.

Others have had less kind descriptions - usually when we butt heads over their language choices.

I agree with the thread-starter: we should only describe ourselves. Doing otherwise invites insult, whether intentional, teasing, or not.

Rats! My secret is out. i AM a poor/slow typist. That's why I prefer message boards to chatrooms or IM. My collegues fall asleep waiting for me sometimes. The best I could ever do was 40 words-per-minute.

The "last posted" thing, I think, is a board quirk... admin's posts are marked as of the time they open the reply box. Others are marked by the time they click "submit".

Finally, in this place (the Backroom) I am only a member, same as anybody. My opinion is my opinion - nothing more. If I get out of line, Solypsist or Ser Clegane can and will smack me down as required. As it should be.
