We want EB to play well on all difficulties, we recommend VH/M as the general setting, but there's no reason not to change the settings to make the game play in a way you perfer. Having team members play on different settings helps us make sure there aren't serious balance on them (other than the one's CA hardcoded in).

Yes, it is true i didn´t realize that... Good point.

Well, i´m going to try a VH/VH, as i did play on Vanilla... i guess i´m going to get crushed... but oh well...

If not i´m going to settle on VH/H, i already tried VH/M and the only reason why i don´t like is coz 1:1 fights are still on my favor... i want a 1:1 fight to be a 50% 50% and not 70% 30% as it is on M difficulty.

I go for vh/m... for some reason, EB is the one game where I actually feel pleased when I'm getting smashed around. But, I wouldn't want an advanced battle difficulty, because, as far as I can tell, all it does is allow their stats a bonus. The ai seems good enough at getting chevrons and stars in the games I've played anyway ;) Oh and I suspect that the happiness ratings in towns don't include the slaves and bandits, who will probably always have a portion who are miserable no matter what the government does. There seem to be hordes of armed mercenaries roaming the countryside at any time, so I figure sometimes they just get aggressive. :)

I play on VH/VH. All the stat bonuses the AI gets combined with the enormous time/money involved in building an army. Create a huge importance on strategically killing your opponent. Those pyrretic victories truly becomes a loss. It adds alot of pre planning needed for pre marrius Romani when campagning far from home. Steady large losses creates many problems. Patch rocks Btw, Rome finally has the +3 morale bonus.

Just out of curiosity - what does this refer to?

I think it means that troops defending Rome have a +3 moral bonus.

Would like to see that extended to other important cities for other factions.

Means that they have the government building, and that wonder which adds another 1 morale.
