Eh it's nothing special... Full stacks of gold chevroned horse archers... A baby could win a battle with those, especially against western factions who have no units to counter 20 units of gold chevroned horse archers. I remember when i used to try and play MP when the game first came out... I used to just leave if people used armies like that. Which they did 100% of the time.

I fought countless battles against armies like that, and won most of them.

I simply lured them into a forest and ambushed them, and boy was I hated for it.

    Version 2!

Unfortunately from tomorrow onwards I won't be touching my computer for any significant amount of time for the next 2 years, and it seems that again, I cannot complete my dream of conquering the entire enormous EB map. T_T Anyway, it was totally fun as usual.

Macedonia, before invading my lands had 2 factions, Getai and Epiros, as its protectorates. It's treasury soared sky high. The peak occurs when it broke the alliance between me and him...

I besieged 6 Roman cities in a single turn with 6 full-stack armies. Meanwhile the Romans still have the luxury of going after a previously-roman city that revolted against them. =\

I love some of these screens. I wonder who made them?

    (More pics on the way!)

I'm lovin how you took out Rome, Sir Poot. I did the exact same thing, hit them with everything I had at, at the same time. Took me 4 turns to wipe the Romans off the map.

What difficulty are you playing on SirPoot?

Yep. Rome is the only faction in which I can plan my attacks and such. Other factions always invade me first and I have to react to it.

Oh I'm playing M/M. Other difficulties are too hard for me to expand fast...

    One of my favorites.

My army fighting off a fierce barbarian horde.

    The battle for the Mausoleum

I hate this egyptian unit. My only recruitable unit that can hold its own in a frontal assault is the pezhetaroi. And that, I'll always need some unit to flank it, else my pezhetaroi will be eventually slaughtered by those guys. And even if flanked, those guys will still take a long time to break. A real pain in the butt

A rebel army sally forth to defend their home city.

I surprised me that anyone is able to walk up such a steep slope.

Disciplined as they may be, the Hypatistai can get impetuous at times.

A faithful galatian bodyguard defends his master to the last.

    A stab in the back!

    Very very messy.

By numbers alone, that rebel army is the scariest. More so when they clamped themselves together into one big chunk.

And they managed to dent my battle line just by ramming the whole chunk onto it.

The positions of their corpses will show just how much they managed to push my phalanx back. Truly scary for an army consisting of mostly pandatoi...

    Assault on a rebel town.

How do you keep order with an empire so huge? Surely the distance from capital along would make it impossible.
