Sadly this is not the case. Only the melee capabilities are increased by a metalsmith.

Valour gives Archers a noticable accuracy boost only after the 3-4th level.
Fighting isn't about winning, it's about depriving your enemy of all options except to lose.

But then, what a boost it is
0 Valour Archers need roughly 2-3 salvos to actually hit someone in a 60-man unit marching towards them. 5 Valour Archers can thin the very same formation down by 2-3 men every salvo they fire. Now that's something![]()
