I'm Christian.

me too, although i think everyone knows that already!
What about agnostics? I thought they're quite a large group.
I dislike the stigma of "agnostic", but then gnostics have a very specific meaning, so I'll have to stick to that.

I voted other as I'm searching right now...

But, but...Atheism is not a religion! The poll is misleading!

Judiasm?
I feel obligated to drone that atheism whilst not being a religion is a valid stance to take on the subject of religion, and as such deserves a place in the poll.![]()

Atheism is a belief that requires one's faith, beyond proven scientific facts, that there is no God.But, but...Atheism is not a religion! The poll is misleading!
Agnosticism is what you're looking for.

So if I don't believe in Santa Claus, the Tooth Fairy or Martians that is a religion?
Science relies on proven facts... not facts yet to be proven.
An atheist who relies on proven facts, should not be expected to believe in something that has yet to be proven.
Calling atheism a religion is a great Euclidian point.

Atheists hold a firm belief in the absolute absence of God, which cannot be proven. Thus, they must have faith in their disbelief. It's all perfectly rational.![]()

I voted atheist. I think about the lack of existance of god all the time and meet up with fellow atheists every sunday for a series of rituals based on our belief that god does not exist![]()
i was catholic baptised but i had no choice I PEED IN THE HOLY WATER (1year old) i'm really agnostic, more specificly i believe in Deism, the universe was created by a higher power and abandoned, so then the world developed under its own will and without any divine intrusion.

Baptized and attending Episcopalian, which may or may not qualify as Christian, depending on how long your fundamentalist beard has grown. Definitely not a Christian in Nav's book.
We're weird. We let our priests marry. And we let women become priests. And they even elected an openly gay episcopal Bishop, which must make all of the closeted gay priests in the other Christian sects green with envy.
Face it, Episcopalians rock the house.
I voted athiest, but I must correct you. It is not a religion, though there is a fair argument for it requiring some faith.

That is incorrect, if you never had any idea of the existence of God you would not need to to have faith in your disbelief. Some people are raised atheist therefore always regard God as something they don't care about, like Santa. Now if the knowledge of the existence of God was biologically inherent, then you would have a point, otherwise you are standing on a huge phallacy.Originally Posted by Crazed Rabbit

I'm Christian, but this poll, is disorganized.
"Under capitalism, man exploits man. Under communism, it's just the opposite." - John Kenneth Galbraith
Also it doesn't recognise the difference between faith, belief and religion.
They are not the same... religion is merely the system to suck out the material possesions of the faithful believers to give to a priesthood who may or may not be worthy of getting those material possessions.

Keep trying Ghost, just remember it requires work for you to pray for me, while all I have to do to remain atheist is exist.
But don't worry if it works you'll be the first to know.

Voted "other." Was born half-Jewish, half-Irosh Catholic, although my grandfather declared long before I was born than no ***** (my last name... no way am I saying my real name here!) shall ever set foot in an Irish Catholic church again. Why, I don;t know, but I think I got the catholic blood anyway, because instead of singing the prayers during the holidays (as Jews are supposed to) I say them rapidfire like an Irish priest.
However, despite following a smattering of holidays from both religions, I actively follow my own faith and belief. It is culled mainly from Henry Miller and Zorba the Greek, with a little from Hunter S. Thompson and some from my fevered imagination. I find it better to make my own way rather than have some pompous bastard try to tell me how I should live my life. Kinda encourages me to think for myself.![]()
