Don't like this quiz... there is too much of a focus on current issues, not on overreaching issues. Plus, the categories look completely made up to me.

Let me find a better one I took once; it placed me much more accurately as well.

    Edit: found it: http://www.politicalcompass.org/

I ended up on the extreme end of the left and libertarian axes.

Boy. Some of these questions are really really worded in favor of the left. The first one for example:

If economic globalisation is inevitable, it should primarily serve humanity rather than the interests of trans-national corporations.
Trans-national corporations serve the interests of humanity by providing goods and services to humanity and supplying the profits to shareholders who then spend or invest their wealth, therefore returning it to all in one way or the other.

The question just pisses me off because it is totally anti-corporation from the get-go. Gah and a half.

"From each according to his ability, to each according to his need" is a fundamentally good idea.
    Sounds like communism to me.

    It gets worse and worse:

It is regrettable that many personal fortunes are made by people who simply manipulate money and contribute nothing to their society.
People who "manipulate money" provide a service to other people in the sale and purchase of stock. These people are not manipulating money, but in the market of information. Gah Gah Gah.

All people have their rights, but it is better for all of us that different sorts of people should keep to their own kind.
    WTF?

    The Political Compass

    Economic Left/Right: 3.00
    Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -0.15

Barely Libertarian and slightly to the right. Pretty much the same as the quiz I posted.
"Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds." -Einstein
