Makedonia ... conquer all of Hellas, develop economy and just Pella makes you 20k per turn. I keep funding the Seleukids by giving them some 250k every now and then.
Ptolemaioi. Money flows into your coffers and no need to disband units. Also didn't take long time to upgrade the MICs. Almost from getgo I had Pezhetairoi and Thureophoroi.

Definately Ptolemaioi, though I never played Romani. The Ptolemaioi start out being able to train Pezhetairoi, and are only 10 turns away from Kleruchoi Agemata. I think by about 30 or so turns into the game, I had 6 full stacks, 6 units of ships, 5 or so million mnai, and all of Asia Minor, Arabia, and Egypt down to Axum conquered, and had pushed the Seleucids out of Seleukia to the other side of the mountains. Easy stuff!
i voted fat, cause i am lol
yeah ptolemaioi, bactria
yeuzhi are really hard if you want a challenge
Romani got my vote although Makedon and Koinon Hellenon are easy and have strong economies too. Next up have to be Ptolemy, Seleukids and Karthage.
Suprisingly no votes for Sweboz. I´ve just played once but you can easily expand into some 20 provinces without countering any serious opposition.
