And no, I didn´t like any of his songs. I´ve heard better middle-eastern music, though, I think Egypt is pretty much in Africa and not in the middle-east, isn´t it?![]()

Since Sinai is in the Middle East (if you cut it at the Canal) then Egypt has it's role to play as a middle eastern state. Just like Turkey is a European state (if not fully).
Politically you can certainly include Egypt as it looks far more to the middle east than it does towards Sudan, Libya or Ethiopia.
