Default The Biggest State in the Union versus the Biggest State in the Union

Right. Time to settle this once and for all. I present the mother of all contests:
The Biggest State in the Union versus the Biggest State in the Union. Or

    France versus Texas.

I shall open with a random picture of just another fountain in just another provincial town, Nancy.

Kagemusha's picture of a Texas landscape proves Craterus' point.

I'll further prove it with this picture of the fertile fields of France in full flower:

What I've seen of Texas (El Paso area) I don't like. Granted the Texans are the friendliest people in the Union but desert isn't my scenery not to mention a bombs were tested not too far from El Paso.

The best thing about texas is the Titty Bars but that isn't enough, as a studying Historian I'll go for France seeing as there's much more to read about and also because although France is smaller than Texas it's definately filled with a more beautiful landscape.

Stage two, we say something may be about to happen, but we should do nothing about it.
Stage three, we say that maybe we should do something about it, but there's nothing we can do.
Stage four, we say maybe there was something we could have done, but it's too late now.

It's a tough call, but I think France is better. I mean, where would my country be without our national sport of invading them whenever we get bored?

As a kid, my Mom talked about how beautiful Corpus Christy and Galvastine were - aside from Phoenix (only God knows why). After visiiting the, I like Galvastine (sorta, worse sunburn of my young adult life) .... but Corpus is a hole where bigoted whites live.

So you must of fit right into the mold of Corpus then given that you often espouse bigoted view points.

BTW - you needed to go inland many more miles to get to the true bigoted whites who live in that part of Texas. Corpus has nothing on those that live a little fatrher east and north of that town.

lets see if you can take a comment of this type as well as you like to dish them out.

I see you've been to Vidor, too. although it's not so much "inland" as simply further up.

Would you like to compare the details from that link to what you claimed
then perhaps you can go on to all the other inches of Texas that the Union never captured .

    From the link above:

They also took Harriet Lane, by boarding her, and two barks and a schooner. Cdr. W.B. Renshaw's flagship, U.S.S. Westfield, ran aground when trying to help Harriet Lane and, at 10:00 am, she was blown up to prevent her capture by the Confederates.
This Harriet girl had quite a time! I can see why the Yankees were so hated, going around taking your women and then blowing her up. Was she Texan?
