Hey! I thought this thread is for newbies and rookies only!

A great warrior never reveal his true skills....
A great warrior rarely reveal his true skills....
it didn't say rookies and newbies for STW, specifically!
Curiously, the average number of posts by you five is 500+. I find this ironic.
Thanks for the log reader info.
LOL. I wonder what Soly was like as a newbie...
"Everything Shiro said sounds good to me."

"Catiline is the one with the black rag and Shiro is erm...the other one..."

Quote LOL. I wonder what Soly was like as a newbie...[/QUOTE]
I was bitter...not nearly as cheery and full of helpful peer-support as I am now!
sadly i was never a newbie i am wondering how it would feel...

Maygar Khan--
with you I imagine it would involve falling off horses, dropping your lance and complaining that STW doesn't allow you to build mounds of skulls after a battle!

Thanks Magyar Khan! Downloading now...
I am using something similar with freespace2.
I hope it can shorten the long and tedious process of analysing my defeats!!!

Finally figured out how to get into your site
Constructively: not obvious how when you go there.
Impressed with your logfile reader and thanks.
General, slightly off thread:
This maybe old news to most, but discovered by accident just changing the file extension
from .log to .txt allowed me to get into look at my log files without a reader-wordpad will open it up. How I learned that, yes, when you recombine the honor is an average but the armor/sword adjustmnents aren't mixed and you can bring a lower sword/armor into a new higher sword/armor and get a new big upgraded unit at least according to the logfile.

“You know the sound of thunder Mrs. Garret."
"Ofcourse"
"Can you imagine that sound if I asked you to?"
"Yes I can Mr. Hickok."

Using stw w/ patch 1.11.
downloaded full version and patch, replaced v 1.0 with patched v 2.0 .exe, used "setup",
but got following message in application, either trying to open up .txt or .log: "run-time error '5'invalid call or arguement" wouldn't open logfile.
comments, explanations?

Not a 'Newbie' either (hell, I hate that term), but a nice bit of kit, Magy - thanks

candid...
just install setup v1.0
then place v2.0 in logfiles subdir
run this latest version logfilereaderv2.0.exe
choose a logfile and it must work!

Magyar:
just to be sure, removed all of download, redownloaded v1 and clicked on setup icon, proceeded through set up. Downloaded v2 patch put in logfile subdirectory. Even changed "open with" option to open with
your logfile reader. Let setup put the program into program files/project 1 - default.
Note: on first download on install, went ahead and let the setup update some of my windows files to proceed (fingers crossed here). (Am Running win98 improved from late '99).
Still getting above error message in trying to pull open a .log or .txt file from successfully launched reader.
my email is available by profile if you want to take this off forum and have any suggestions.
