    Default Forgotten Commander of Wermacht?

Inspired by the greatest General of WWII.

Fieldmarshall Walther von Brauchitsch was the commander of chief of Wermacht from 1938-December 1941. So he was the commander of chief of Werrmacht for the time of German success in the early War and after Hitler relieved him from his duty and took direct controll of Wermacht everything turned sour more or less.
Von Brautchitsch has been described as old school Prussian officer that opposed Nazism in personal level. He also opposed invasions to both Austria and Czechoslovakia. He was also a staunch opposer of Schutzstaffel(SS) and has been credited of being the overall commander of Operations in West and also the 1941 attacking phase of Barbarossa against Soviet Union. He was revealed from his duties at December 1941 after continuos disagreements with Hitler.I think he is one of the most under rated Commanders of WWII.Opinions?

I agree, he's certainly underrated and forgotten by the masses. Loud noisy people who know how to make PR and have a major roles in the late phases of a war, when the enemy is already strategically defeated, are usually more often remembered by the masses than the generals who worked hard during the early stages of a war.
    Under construction...
