Perhaps it’s a fraud . These people were kidnapped by a group no one heard of, the only person to die (the American) seems to have been killed while trying to escape, the house was unguarded when troops arrived, and the “victims” are part of some wacko left wing peace-nick group.

Yes indeed JTF-2 has had a respectable reputation from their conception. If I remember correctly didn't they support the United States in several operations elsewhere besides Iraq.

Joint Task Force 2 was originally formed for special operations during the Gulf War before being disbanded after the war. They were then formed in April 1993 as Canada's counter-terrorism unit accepting volunteers from three other services.

They have seen action in the Balklands, Afghanistan, Nepal, Zaire, Haiti, Rwanda, Tanzania, and the Central African Republic.

SAS always seems to have that effect on terrorists.

Since Lt Col David Stirling first recruited the best warriors from among our armed forces for the elite squad, their reputation have only increased around the globe.
The amazing televised sceens of our boys rescuing hostages unharmed from the iraninan embassy in london - while taking out all but one of the terrorists - put fear firmly in the hears of all who threaten our peace.

Never was that more clearly illustarated than in the dawn rescue of Norman Kember and his fellow hostages in a bagdad slum yesterday

By word of mouth through the warren of streets, the message spread:
"The SAS are coming"
The terrified insurgents fled their beds in the few rags they were wearing,
Leaving three men they had tortured and terrified for 118 days to be released without a single shot fired in anger.
Reputation alone spared blood-shed

Long may our boys be the very besy

Several speling mistakes, a complete absence of capital letters on proper nouns, ridiculously nationalistic statements without anything to back them up...I'm guessing this isn't a mainstream 'news' source.
