    Default Org-Gahzette, just a sneak peek

    Hello everybody and thanks for your interest

    For this issue we at the gazette team will be focusing on providing you with the answers to any questions about the gah-zette you need, and a sneak preview of whats to come

    Headline
    This section does exactly what it says on the tin, Every issue Me, or any of the gah-zette team, will focus on a major event, or person in the Org community. This could be anthing from a major mod release, to the senior member/moderator promotions, or even highlighting an outstanding member of the org community.

    New Members
    This will be a list of new members, and a link to the Hail new members! thread, where people can see and recognise the new members of our growing community. Hopefully welcoming them. I feel the inclusion of this piece (done by our very own Ace_Genral) will enhance the community feel to this place, all in all making it a happier place to post.

    Arcade
    ZainDustin, the self proclaimed King of the arcade, will present to you every issue, all the hot goos, new tournaments and tourny winners of the fast growing arcade community of the org. Although, too be honest, these will mostly be about Zain himself, as he is the king after all .

    PBeM
    The one and only prolific user of ballons, yes Dutch_Guy himself will present an account of the happenings in the world of play by e-mail. This will include hot PBeMs at the moment, with all the hot action, blow by blow accounts and post-battle reports that live in the fast paced world of PBeMs. I personally love to read the PBems and will be looking foreward to Dutch_Guy's review of them

    Mod News
    This could well turn out ot be the Highlight of the Gah-zette, Wakizashi's review of the current mods available and all the mod projects around, not just RTW, but Medieval 1 + 2. It is a possibility that this could eventually include interviews with the modders themselves. An interesting Idea that came to Waki just yesterday, and was sent by PM to me, was the idea of 'Mod of the week'. Quoted from Waki's PM;
    "The Following Week, I'll add in a New Section, 'My Mod of the Week' (Title Subject to Change), in which I will be presenting a mod, either currently in progress (no Beta or Demo), Mods in Beta Stage, and of course fully released mods.

    For the Mod' of the Week, I'll try and get a short interview with the mod's developer, add in some pictures, and give my own opinion on how much I enjoyed the mod, or am excited about the mod (I will completely refrain from any negative comments whatsoever), and try to be as unbiased as possible."

    Exciting stuff, I'm sure it'll be great.

    Well thats it for this week folks, I truly hope i can get a proper issue out by next week, unfortunately my deadline this week seemed to be too short notic for some of my sla....reporters

    The Team;
    Ianofsmeg16: Editor
    Tiberius: reporter (general)

    Wakizashi: Reporter (Modifications)

    When I was a child
    I caught a fleeting glimpse
    Out of the corner of my eye.
    I turned to look but it was gone
    I cannot put my finger on it now
    The child is grown,
    The dream is gone.

    Yeah, sorry mate. Homework got the better of me last night, but I've already started on next weeks rough draft if that makes you feel any better.

    This is a great idea, I’ve PM’d Dutch_Guy about material for his report on the PBeM scene.

    Do we have an eta for this to be released?

    I've given Dutch some minor things to put in and I should have something bigger for him to add in by the next edition.

    We need to support efforts like this.

    This sounds very promising.

    If the Gahzette is going to interview, Darth_Vader, I hope you manage to get into some of the nitty gritty of his work. There's probably no topic Org people would be more interested in than improving the AI and it would be fascinating to know how Darth has gone about, given that modders cannot change the source code of the games. I've benefited from his work as a consumer and read some threads about it elsewhere, but I am still pretty much in the dark about what exactly he's been able to mod and what changes in AI behaviour it produces.

    I hope you can get into the gory details...
