It looks quite good.
Maybe you should show it to the Medieval Auctoriso team.

Is this complete conjecture or do you have some inside source on this? Otherwise... I'll wait and see.

complete conjecture, I guess.Originally Posted by NodachiSam

And quite impressive ideas they are. I merely pointed out some obvious errors. Especially calling Constantinople Istanbul is a mistake that even someone as ignorant of history as I can see.Originally Posted by bozkirsovalyesi

Seems more pragmatic than historically accurate. But you could replace connachta with leath coinn and laigin with leath mogha, hence maintaining the convenience of two provinces and throwing in some historical accuracy as well.Originally Posted by bozkirsovalyesi
Plus nottingham would be more appropriate than leicester of england.

It looks like Wessex should be Sussex. Good maps though. I can see the logic of having the islands be separate (groups of) provinces.
Reinvent the British and you get a global finance center, edible food and better service. Reinvent the French and you may just get more Germans.

My basic. map historic-real borders.
all maps:
only important -- suitable ( for great map suitable ) -- large -- provinces and cityes.
and "countryes populations" balances "provinsces number"
A.D. 1200 staticks.
....................................
Riadach:
in ireland.
connachta = your name recommendation.?
..................................................
Lusted:
mercia capita l= nottingham ..?
that map... nottingham in anglia.
mercia history real capital = leichester
...................................................
Vladimir:
wessex more great provinces.
in mtw-1 that place wessex.
......................................................
total 208 provinces.
"countryes populations" balances "provinsec number"
and territorial greatness and strategic location.
A.D. 1346 populations:
germany and austria = 19 provinces ..... but ( friesia- lorreine- brabant- swiss- bohemia exluded = 15 )
only germany and austria populations: 14.000.000
france = 14 provinces ..... but ( including corsica- lorreine- burgonia- provence )
all france populations: 15.000.000
italy = 9 provinces ........ but ( corsica and malta exluded )
populations: 10.000.000
hungary = 5 provinces ( including croatia )
populations: 5.000.000
............................................
more good adjusment for: I think income balance.

well
leath cuinn- would equal connacht/ ulster so you could place the capital there at tuaim capital of the kingdom of connacht which had dominance in the 12th century or tara which was the tradtional capital of all of ireland, and of the powers at the start of th 11th century.
leath mogha i would place a political capital at caiseal but as regards trading dubh linn would be more important.

Well, you never know, maybe in MTW2 they will introduce a new campaign map style... There could be more settlements, or castles, or 2 settlements in a province... unfortunately we just don't know yet...
Hey, Im back

like the altered map. except can you bring the black line down closer to dublin, it doesn't need to go up like that. It should just level off
and could you replace laigin with leath mogha?
Turku should be the capital of Finland at this point instead of Helsinki, which was founded in 1550.
"The invention of war machines has long ago been completed, I cannot imagine anything ever surpassing the current state of the art."
-Sextus Julius Frontinus commenting on the catapult, 1 AD
ok.
I correction.
but in ireland: anyway leath cuinn % 55 - 60 earth
leath mogha % 40 - 45 earth ...
so good border.

Actually, he's a turk.
Didn't you see that all provinces were in Turkish? Istanbul....![]()
Plus lots of errors.
By the way, what's Perecen in Moldavia? Ask any romanian on this forum, no one ever heard of Perecen.
And, you even have a Turkish mistake. For Moldavia, it's Karabogdan, not only Bogdan.![]()

I for obstinacy turkish names.
today (2006) yet western maps write constantinopol.
I write for obstinacy all turkish names.

pereçen:
peçenek (patzinaks) castle. 11. and 12. centurys peçenek castle.
after kuman (cuman) castle. in boğdan.
yet existing historic maps.
..........................................................
boğdan or karaboğdan:
just both.
kara + boğdan .....
kara = black .... but
black = this place meaning: bottom, under, low.

Moldavia was half Cuman... Half no man's land.
Wallachia was Pecheneg, but only for a short time.

one mistake with the leath mogha map. its missing out on the clare peninsula. on the west just above the border that peninsula there should be in leath mogha, should compensate for the 50-50 effect. borderline is basically a straight line across along the old slige riada

I foundation borders real historic borders.
not province borders.
east and south ireland 10. century norway invasion (dublin norsks)
and 12. - 13. - 14. century east ireland english invasion.
I so to adjust.
