Bozkirsovalyeski, that is some nice additions...but i think they have developed most of the map already. They wont even add Bosna and it was first european country to use gunpowder...that is how they have helped Dubrovnik (city state) against Venetianz.

If they put every province on that people want there would be far far too many. For a start, there wouldnt be enough physical room to fit your units on the map! I honestly think the number they have at the moment in MTW is spot on, not too many, not too few. A few more factions, like 5 or so, would be good, but thats about it

Meh, Portugal won't and shouldn't have just one province. They had 1 million population in the country, enough to match the size of Poland's population. Plus, how could one province like that colonize a good part of the african coast, another good part of the indian coast (For 1 million pop), some islands in Modern Indonesia and the totality of the brazilian coast? Meh, they should have at least three provinces.

Ehh as far as I know Medival History of Balkans if you vant to be correct, Bosnia shouldn't exit there out to the sea. A province named Zeta should be where curently Montenegro is.

While this thread started out humorously, it's become tragic now that we know we are to expect about 10% of the provinces shown here.

I think it's not so important . In that years , Istanbul (Constantinople) was under the protection Ottoman Empire . So it's name was Istanbul .

is there going to be a higher density of provinces per given area than the original M:TW?

ie, France will have six subdivisions in M2:TW rather than the five subdivisions found in M:TW.

I am sure there will be in-depth mods, although I rather suspect they might be more geographically focussed - creating a quality mod with 9x as many provinces is a lot of work.

Personally, I've always been relaxed about having small numbers of provinces. The whole of TW is an abstraction, so I would think in terms of gameplay rather than historical fidelity here. I prefer fighting fieldbattles to sieges. IMO, having large open spaces as in BI, is more fun than "settlement" hoping, as in RTR. I'm ok with just sieging London, Nottingham & York without having to also get through Oxford, Norwich, Leicester, Bristol, Lincoln, Lancaster, ... (almost ad infinitem). If you did want the latter, a mod focussing just on England - e.g. the War of the Roses or Simon de Montforts rebellion etc might be most suitable.

The only thief would be yourself, but RTR does not take such a shallow approach to the TW modding community, neither does the Total War Center Forums.

Besides, the tilted-axis approach to designing a campaign map goes back even farther. An old favorite wargame of mine, Imperium Romanum II (and its predecessor, Imperium Romanum), designed by a company named West End Games, dates back to 1979 for Imperium Romanum, and to 1985 for Imperium Romanum II. Both the 1st and 2nd edition of this game were designed by Albert A. Nofi.

Back when RTR was deciding on a new campaign map for RTR7, and the idea of using a tilted-axis approach to the campaign map was being discussed, I pointed out it would be a great idea, which was used by one of my favorite wargames, long before most people designing RTR, or most RTW mods for that matter, were even born, let alone out of elementary school.

Here a screenshot of the Imperium Romanum map...

Here is a screenshot of the Imperium Romanum II map...

This was an awesome wargame in its time, covering the period of Romans with 35 scenarios dealing with everything from the Roman Civil Wars to Rome's many wars against various other foreign nations. Back when I played this wargame, computer games were still confined to very simple affairs or were located on university mainframes that I had used during my school years.

I played the game in a wargame club, where we used either the simple abstract tactical combat system of the game for battles, or another tactical-oriented wargame or a miniatures wargame to fight out our battles, importing the results back to the strategic scale of Imperium Romanum II.

Here are a few other photos of the game. This is the game's box cover...

Here is a photo of the game being enjoyed by wargaming enthusiasts like myself...

So, in the end, this map concept is fairly old, nearly as old as myself. The new campaign map being developed for RTR7 is not yours or in anyway related to any files, materials, or ideas of yours. The RTR7 campaign map was created by the excellent work of a fellow modder, and RTR7 development team member, named Muizer.

So, cool down and be glad the many RTW modding community members are not crying foul to your false accusations, as warranted as their response may be.

It would seem so, but truly it is not:

The thread creator recently posted in the RTR team forums, and Marcus Camillus is merely responding in the thread he was linked to after finding the culmination of the accusation towards the end.
