Can you help me, please?Nobody has still answered me. I have read some tutorial, but I don't find it. I want to learn of the teachers of this forum.
Thank you!
Skins, models and sprites can be changed in 'descr_model_battle.txt'
(Rome - Total War/data/descr_model_battle)
In the scriptorium you have a guide to include new units in RTW.

The method to change textures can be extracted from that tutorial.![]()
Same topic as it involves skins or unit card to be exact.
I isntalled the RTW/BI enchancement pack by Borsook on top of my RTW 1.5/BI 1.6 and everything works fine. Playing the Romano-British in provincial campaign.
Howvwer due to lack of foot units I decided to add a new unit. I copied all the entries of Merc Veteranii by slave(rebel ?) faction and change it to Legio Veteranii . Add the description in EDU for faction romano_british , enter the recruitment thing in EDB , add entries in descr_model_battle under merc_veteranii to include romano_british , entries in export_units (text folder) , copied existing unit cards for merc veteranii , renamed to legio veteranii and put it in both unit info and unit folder respectively for the romano_british faction.
Now , I rechecked and rechecked and rechecked my spelling hundred times but in game campaign and selection screen it still uses the peasant card. The battle is fine with correct unit skins etc.
Now I've done this things many times in RTR. Why this time it fails when I tried to mod BI ? Any other relevant files that I have missed ?
Say: O unbelievers, I serve not what you serve, nor do you serve what I serve, nor shall I serve what you are serving, nor shall you be serving what I serve.
To you your religion, and to me my religion.
If the unit still has the mercenary_unit attribute it will look in the merc units and unit_info folders for the unit cards.

Hmmm.. I think that might be it. I only edited the name, not the stats... Thanks.Originally Posted by Lusted
