Marius Reforms when?

Hi i'm currently playing RTW using Brutii on VH/VH mode. I'm in the year 260 BC and i hold about 40 provinces.

Does marius reforms come right after u complete the imperial palace?

Coz i was tinking of waiting a while to use the powerful new legions to crush Julii who are becoming increasing powerful. If it doesnt? When does it? I cannot afford to wait too long or i'll have a harder time trying to kill off the "romans".

They can happen any time after 220 BC if an Imperial Palace has been built in Italy (not necessarily by you). Given that condition is satisfied, the probability of the event happening in any one year is random. Sometimes they don't happen for ages, much to the player's frustration.

lol 39 to be exact. y so curious? isnt it the same for almost everyone?

Not necessarily. Its a bit quick, thats all! Usually hit 40 around 220-200 BC.

wow thats quite late! judging at the rate Julii is going, he's military strength will overtake mine in 4 years time according to the chart. wont u have problems dealing with him by 220BC?

10 years in and you have 39 provinces? Are you playing on easy?

You have to be playing on easy. There is no way you can capture that many that fast. Although even on easy that is pretty good.
