Rebel armies not appearing when in descr_strat

Well this is a really strange issue:
I get this strange effect that the game loads the campaign nicely and doesn't display any error message, and everything looks fine. Then I take a look at the rebel settlements where there should be some rather large stacks of units and behold - there is nothing. Not a single soldier shows up. What's even more strange is that for every normal faction the armies appear correctly.
Now I'm sure that it has nothing to do with the ownership of the units or the faction_creator of the settlement.
It's probably not due to a discrepancy between descr_strat and descr_regions or map_regions either, but you can't be sure about that.

I hope somebody has experienced this before and come up with a solution :)

Ouch...
Ok, I found the problem. I had a ` character in front of a commented out line for obscure reasons, which kept show_err from displaying and disabled everything below that line in descr_strat.txt
