Both Tiger and Aggony Clans have reported the server down, apparently since Friday March 31.

The Wolves, RTK, and Hunter, are also hoping to fight some CWC Match Round Battles this weekend.

Will someone please give us a heads up when the server is back online.

Just a Girl was banned from the forums.

The server is easy to host (just run the program and tell the other players your IP address). For arranged games one of the players could host it.

I’m sorry Shambles.

I don’t know anything about any of the trouble you have had at the Org.

And as I have told you, I personally, and sincerely appreciate your trying to keep Shogun alive.

But a successful Competition requires that plans be made well in advance of actual combat. And once the plans are made, the server has to be there or people fall away.

I don’t consider it your fault that the server was not up, or that you couldn’t get word to us. It’s not like we were paying for the privilege of playing on it or anything. And I really don’t think anyone else could do a better job. There is more to it.

Beyond any reliability problems, there are the connection problems that have ruled some folks out from the beginning. Add to that the general lack of availability of a community to practice with, and we have a slowly but surely dieing situation.

Moving the Shogun Contest to the VI was a giant step to try to save what we had going already, which may or may not be possible.

I hope you understand, I’m trying to keep a Contest going, which is in no way a rejection of you Shambles-sama. For with out you we never would have tried it in the first place

Was given a second chance when posting through Just A Girl's account.

Then.

Said that entire nations are retarded.

Told the Admin to [perform an anatomically impossible act].

Harassed particular people.

And that is off the top of my head of the 'highlights'.

So exactly what do you think should we have done?

ShambleS is actually a very nice guy.

I don't think the pr0n he chose was an indication of what he likes, but what caused maximum shock factor.

He is a very good techie... but like most of us Techs tends to be better at troubleshooting things then conflict resolution... there are more effective ways to approach issues then he used. He tends not to let go of things and escalate conflicts which only result in more problems.

However no matter how good you are technically or how senior you still have to play by the rules of the game. This applies even to administrators and us mods as those who have been here long enough know.

I would like him to have kept up his server rather then penalising his fanbase. But it is his choice and I can understand him doing it as he was upset.

So I don't think he should be equated with criminal acts because he put his foot in his mouth too many times. Hyperbole is never useful.

the fact of the matter is i went to see if the server was up or down on his
website and imagine my horror when i saw that awful picture...

my pc is in my goddamned loungeroom... my children were in the loungeroom at the time that awful image flashed up...i'm just glad i had the reflexes to back out quickly so they didnt have to see it if they glanced up...

dont you tell me i am out of order.... i'll assume what i please, just like you do... i trusted him with his website and he betrayed my trust, in one of the most indecent ways possible...

anyways, yes i did infer a pretty damned horrible thing, and i will retract what i posted ..

but its obvious he has an infatuation with these sorts of pictures of men and i will leave it at that without any further suggestions of any criminal act....

I'm not going to play musical chairs with the STW server. I wasted my time on Sunday going to Shambles server and waiting because I didn't know there was a problem and nobody was going there. That's the middle of the afternoon for me. My whole day is affected making time in the middle of the afternoon. I didn't know about any problems with Shambles, and what he does on his site isn't a cause for being banned from the org. I'm just trying to play the game.

He did not get banned for what he does at his site. He got banned for what he did at the Org. Also if anything his other site was acting as a get out of jail free card. We could see that he was providing a valuble service with his fakeserver on his site, we could see him helping out here at the Org with technical questions.

He however got banned for doing things at the Org that were wrong, not for his actions anywhere else.

How were you stopped? Was it your honest conscience telling it was wrong, or the staff finding your footprints?

Agree, but that's the problem for years: some tiptoe around and swallow to avoid fights, other do everything to create them (not talking about playing online TW games ).

I can hear the message between the line: We are not allowed to 'complain', but staff and affiliates can. I think it's the other way around what we see: 'Users complain and blame staff for everything, and staff is supposed to swallow anything (been there, seen it)'.

Shambles is a pain for months, finally booted, he takes the fakeserver offline (guess who the picture for the serverstatus was aimed at, not personal of course :cough:) and so tries to blackmail staff over the back of STW players, just like he terrorised with improper pictures and insulting usernames last Autumn and finally muscled his way back, only to continue griping. He said he removed the pictures when Beirut made first step for peace (when you know the whole story your stomach will turn)? Three days later the same graphics were still here. Say A, do B.

Then, finally, org, [b]I[/i], banned him, and gets blamed for the situation and consequences.

It's so much easier to blame just one person/group (especially when hiding behind anonimous alter ego nicks) than to look into the mirror. Hmm, let's see, what did I collect over the years? Stalin reincarnation, nazi, book burner, CA lover, pitbull owner, like all those pitbull owners, corrupt, bOrgQueen, bioshacker, King Tosa, power hungry, biased, Goebbels, does not reply to mails that are never send (that got me thinking), the list is longer. But as we can see: it's not personal and all that

I hope I have changed enough to be welcome back here. I defend Shambles because he is a good person although a bit hot-headed. What he did to .ORG (well what I know he did from what I read of the posts made by other patrons) was a ridiculous and imature thing to do and I don't agree with him for doing it. He was rightly banned.

I was merely pointing out that whats done is done and we should leave it at that. Not to make rude remarks about him behind his back when he has gone. Although I should really have used the "report bad thread" tool.

Anyway Tosa just want to say that before I was a small child in my opinions and comments and too hot-headed also. I want to apologise for my past actions and hope that they can be forgotten. Fresh name fresh start.

I never understood why we got off to a good start playing together then suddenly you changed your opinion over me based on nothing? Tera once said you thought I was Azzamain... well its pointless to try and convince you over past history best left alone.

Tosa m8, two wrongs don't make a right, ok let me sound like a Mod then, I am not defending Shambles, those images were offensive and personal (the latest ones I mean, didn't seee the others), but the thing is, he didn't do them here.

BTW Trajanus, if shambles is hot-headed, maybe the images may have gone within minutes of being posted, not left for days or still there, don't know, ain't going back for another eye-full? I am hot headed, but I simmer and try to put things right.
