This is upsetting to say the least. Any one that's played EB long enough will understand how much sweat and blood was required to carry a game to 133 BC.
I'm fighting almost impossible odds at this point, but am still winning enough battles to carry me through. I've got the Aedui, Sweboz, and Greeks all attacking me. My Roman empire spans all of Italy and a few Provinces up north. Almost every new settlement I take is lost within a few turns to the Greeks, the super power in the game.
It's a vicious game of cat and mouse. The Greeks are able to produce new armies at lighting speed. However, I'm able to fight them off with some success.
But the new Sweboz threat is really getting annoying. I've resorted to exploiting the stupid AI during sieges to keep the Germans at bay. But fighitng countless sieges has really slowed the pace of the game and it's becoming more of a choir than anything else.
I worked so hard to get this far, only to find out that VH battles are grossly in favour of the enemy. I could probably win in the end. My only driving force right now is to expierence a triumph (which has evaded me to no end) and see the next two reforms. Infact, I held out on an early conquest of Europe just to save it for the Polybian troops and Imperial armies. The early game amnesty towards my neighbours is what got me in the situation I'm in now.
