It is harder then VH on vanilla, due to experience of the general or the rationing and food supplies and ect.

I've successfully changed the game to hard using ROMESAGE. Just don't tamper with the years setting. I changed it to 110 and the game started at 192. Lol, I really want to use the reformed army.

The only difference so far is that I'm routing ground units a lot quicker when I use a calvary charge.

My armies usually have a large calvary wing, about 500-600 strong. I even got a German Bodyguard to retreat when I surrounded it with two groups of princeps and a calvary charge. On VH that would have not happened.

The game is better imo. I've never played medium on EB so I can't compare the two. But it's much more enjoyable than VH, less frustrating.

I got to 108 BC by setting the RomeSage date to 60AD i think (obviously the 4 seasons affect it, rather than the normal 2). It's quite nice to play around with the reformed units, but it cuts out too large a portion of the game for me.

Right now I need the the date jump. I'm stuck at 128 BC, each turn is taking 35 mins to an hour. I'm fighting the Aedui, Sweboz, and the Greeks. Siege after siege. Battle after battle. It's driving me crazy, I have no room to breath and I really want the 109 reforms.

Sign of a good mod imo is if it gets people to switch down their old difficulty settings.

That RTW save editor looks useful for testing. Good stuff.

To the guy who is sick of fighting so many battles - Why not abandon cities in Greece and wherever else and just retreat back to the peninsula until the 109 reforms kick in?
