    Default Help with Medmod needed

I've been playing the latest version of Medmod (4.0) and I'm having some problems with translation. Most of the units have the description (!!! COULD NOT TRANSLATE!!!) in their title, and I can't figure out a way to change it. Is this a known problem or is it something to do with language settings?

I'm also noticing problems with misplaced units, Hungarian Nobles in Normandy for example. It says that Normandy is famous for it's Hungarian Nobles, and such units receive a +1 Valour bonus....?

I'm using a laptop with language settings as English (UK) if that helps.

Sorry to post here but I'm unable to find any other info on the Medmod, short of going to Wes's site. It seems that most searches send me here anyway, hence the post.

    Parmenion,

WesW's MedMod IV is still in the formative stage. Wes has been busy with other things and the mod is still only in the testing stage for the early and late eras, no high era at all yet.

The last complete version of MedMod is version 3 which can be found in the following files:

First, I recommend doing a clean install of MTW:VI before starting. Make sure you delete all files leftover after uninstalling MTW. Then install MTW, then the Viking Invasion expansion, then the 2.01 patch for MTW:VI (2.01 patch). Now that you have a clean install, a good idea is to make a copy of it. You can have as many copies of it as you want, with this method. Each one can be a different mod, like Medmod and XL and BKB Supermod, etc. Go into the Total War folder and copy the Medieval Total War folder. Now you have a clean, unmodded copy of the Medieval Total War folder as a backup. Any mods should install onto the first version, leaving the copy folder free and clear. Remember to keep the "Copy of Medieval Total War" unchanged so you can use it to restore MTW to the original unmodded state without having to reinstall.

Then go here and download the two MedMod files:

MedMod v3 Graphics files) (download and install this file first)

MedMod v3 text files (dowload and install after the graphics files)

Keep an eye on the MedMod IV thread in the Engineers Guild section of the MTW modding area, for updates on version IV, as Wes works on them. The thread is MedMod IV Beta thread
