LOL.
this is quite bizar indeed.
That's awesome! It's something we can alert folks to - that reinforcements won't make it across straits, but I sorta like it actually.
I would like it to if they just stayed on the other shore in my experience they just march into the water and drownOriginally Posted by Teleklos Archelaou
I guess its all subjective if it was an AI army I'm sure I wouldnt have minded so much![]()

It's the same problem as my battle of Mytilene where part of my army was auto-deployed by the AI in water, killing 90 men before the battle even started... Some map changes need to be done...

Well, this could happen at any of the places where we have strait-crossings, it's just that this is the one where you often find yourself being attacked from across the strait by a relief army.
What can be done about it? Remove the crossable strait? That's about it. Anyone got any other ideas? I don't think we will remove the strait though - as it was not very distant and would mean that we might have to remove it for some other places too - if we did it for this one. We would need some other option.
Doesn't the 1.5 patch reduce the number of 2 unit captain lead armies that might make the problem less pronounced.

There's a couple of options. We could move the strait so that it doesn't enter the island exactly at the city. Or move the city a little north and west. Or a combination of the two. The fact that we have both unit deployment drownings (which I am now CERTAIN is related to the presence of the strait) AND reinforcement drownings is a pretty powerful indicator that something should be done.Originally Posted by Teleklos Archelaou
