    Hm, well, here I am.

I had diner with my wife. She cooked a delicious meal. And she insisted on making the bottle of wine empty.

I swear, it wasn't me, it was her.

Now I'm sitting here behind my keyboard. Feeling a bit drunk.

    Oh

We forgot a digustiefke. Hm, in Englisch it's a digustive? Dygustif? Whatever.

Think we have some amaretto in the ... kast? Barkast? bwah, learn dutch.

    K zenne weg. Dada.

Nasty eastern Georgain wine makes me laugh uncontrollably. Also, my dog's face is hilarious.

Not quite drunk yet, but this yummy chianti has me well on my way. My wife's best friend is up visiting, so I cooked a nice dinner, poured some wine, and they've all gone to bed. However, wifey's pal showed me how to do playlists on my IPOD. Wholy holy shit, this is amazing. I've just been importing what I've already owned... then I found the I-tunes store. I most owe them a hundred bucks dowloading everything known to man from the 80's/90's. Not sure playlists are okay to publish, but here's one I recommend for getting the blood pressure fired up:

    1) Bittersweet symphony: the Verve
    2) More Human than Human: White Zombie
    3) She Sells Sanctuary: the Cult
    4) Got the Life: Korn
    5) Killing in the Name Of: Rage Against the Machine
    6) Disappointed: Public Image Limited
    7) Whatever: Godsmack
    8) Spirit of 76: the Alarm
    9) Rush: B(ig) A(udio) D(ynamite)
    10) Dragula: Rob Zombie
    11) Nookie: Limp Bizkit
    12) Clubbed to Death: Rob Dougan

I swear, listen to this once or twice and let alone your own house, you'll paint every building in town.... You just can't sit still.

Once again drinking screws me over. My drunk roommate and I (I wasn't nearly as drunk) almost got into a fist fight last night.

I am fairly drun*... No. Buzzed. If I were drunk, I couldn't type. Watched the game today and was dissapointed by the Chargers loss. Damn Rivers needs to buckle down and be willing to take the hit. Meanwhile, Schottenheimer needs to play less conservatively. Even worse, the Chargers defense is not playing like the #1 rated D in the league. What the hell? Granted, the Chiefs are hard team to play in the sea of red at KC. But that is no excuse. These are the games that San Diego needs to win of they ae going to win the conference, much less even the division.

Many beers, a fine cigar, and one premium 12 yr age scotch later from my secret stash. Here I am.

Sushi later tonight with some Soju Korean Saki. I may be back in this thread. Good thing mommy is bonding with the babe.

This day feels slow. I think I'll speed it up a bit. Maybe I'll get something done and not know about it until later. Perhaps I'll feel a sense of accomplishment when I find out! ...or fall into a panic contemplating the jail time I'll be facing. Oh well.

    Cheers!

Sweet, bubbly, wine... raiding my friends cabinet was a good idea, and I'd do it all over again.

(State St. Halloween Party tonight, I'll definitely get my chance for drink.)

Be it sight, sound, the smell, the touch.
    Theres something,
Inside that we need so much,
The sight of a touch, or the scent of a sound,
Or the strength of an arquebus deep in the ground.
The wonder of flowers, to be covered, and then to burst up,
Thru tarmack, to the sun again,
Or to fly to the sun without burning a wing,
To lie in the meadow and hear the grass sing,
To have all these things in our memories hoard,
    And to use them,
    To help us,
    To find...

Just have been (for the first time in ca. 18 months) for a whisky-tasting at one of my favourite pubs (that serves about 100 different whiskys).

4 of the 6 whiskys we tasted (and just for fun of it the barkeeper also added a rum that happened to age in a whisky/sherry cask) had cask strength, one even had a whopping 63.9% (a very young Caol Ila that literally burned your brains away - but in a nice, fuzzy way).

Now I am feeling warm and happy and just wait for Mrs Clegane to feed me some dinner before I slumber away this evening

I always wanted to ask the innkeeper why on earthy he hosts these whisky tastings on a Sunday - but for some reason, once I am there drinking I never remember to ask him...

In honor of my new, very fun High French campaign, I am enjoying Bordeaux, red & white! A glass of white when I win a battle in the Crusader states, a glass of red when I win back on the continent. Aaah, God bless the French, they may not have invented wine, but they certainly perfected it.
