I got a story about Tequila.

About ten years ago I was on holiday in Skiathos, a lovely little hamlet called Troulos Bay. As the place was so tiny the half dozen or so Brits there got on like a house on fire.

Anyway the second weekend there was when Lennox Lewis had his pitch at the heavyweight title. Some bright spark decided that it might be nice to go into Skiathos town and watch the fight. Great idea!

Saturday comes and off we troop into town. As it was a bit early we hit the bars. After a couple of beers, one of the Kentish lads came up with the idea of tequila slammers. Brilliant!

    So we started.

    And continued.

The barman was so astounded at these mental Brits knocking back one after another of the slammers that he gave us at least half a dozen freebies. Fantastic!

Never did get to see the fight.

I awoke the next morning and wished I hadn't. I'd fallen asleep in the apartment on the couch next to the sink. Hidden away in the sink somewhere was an ants nest. All night long they'd feasted on me, whilst I might add, being extremely vulnerable due to being leathered.

Needless to say I was a very poorly man. The hangover from hell and about a gallon of formic acid in my face and torso.

    I missed breakfast.

    And luncheon.

    And dinner.

I managed supper after braving the hair of the dog just so I could eat summat.

    Not had the stuff since.

Has a similar experience with Pernod in 1976. Minus the ants. Some folk never learn.
There are times I wish they’d just ban everything- baccy and beer, burgers and bangers, and all the rest- once and for all. Instead, they creep forward one apparently tiny step at a time. It’s like being executed with a bacon slicer.

“Politics is the art of looking for trouble, finding it whether it exists or not, diagnosing it incorrectly, and applying the wrong remedy.”

To learn who rules over you, simply find out who you are not allowed to criticise.

"The purpose of a university education for Left / Liberals is to attain all the politically correct attitudes towards minorties, and the financial means to live as far away from them as possible."

Every-time I have tequila I swear it'll be the last. And then some Scotsman will challenge me to a tequila drinking contest, and a bottle later I remember why I promised myself the last time that it would be the last time.

I've just been taught the difference between single malt whisky and blended. Had a few beers before that, but not enough to deaden my palate.

I knew someone who went to the University of Victoria (BC). Now, in Pullman we played a lot of drinking games while getting drunk. My friend in Victoria said they mainly just pounded vodka shot after vodka shot and didn't bother with the games. That's you're multicultural update for today.

Anyways, you know you're a bit in when the booze goes down easy and the bite of it is refreshing and not off-putting.

Need some drinking roulette for vodka: as many shot glasses as people, one is water, rest are vodka, everyone takes one and drinks, person who got water is dead and out of the game. Continue until there is one person left, they are the winner, their prize is another shot of vodka. If you're playing with lots of people you really don't want to be the last man standing.

Why do receptions (this word has the same meaning in English right?) always happen when my fiancée is out of town?
Not that I'm complaining but vacuuming the house and washing the car while drunk won't give the best result.

All in all, god bless pub football for living up to its name.

A few friends and I have come up with the idea of a 24-hour "Drunk Day" where you pretty much completely binge on various types of alcohol and appropriate food to go with it in a span of 24 hours. There's a bar in Liverpool where you can get a whole variety of flavoured tequilas, including baked bean, for a pound a shot. Needless to say, whenever I go out in Liverpool and we end up there, I always bully my mates into "trying" the baked bean flavour

Hah! Unless in the unlikely event you moved to Marseille, no doubt you have left the south for the far north.

Such a move means somewhere along the way you've made a mistake in your life, and you can't ever undo it. Sadly, real life is not 'Bienvenue chez les Ch'tis', no matter how much beer you drink with the natives.

Just went for an ungodly amount of beer. Danced with two blonde girls, awesome. Pulled an Indian girl to the dancefloor, she was yummie too. The world is alive with spring, went to my hairdresser yesterday, got a fresh springtime tan, look good, girls love me. Two blondes and Indian princess were engaged. Girl rushing over to do my shirt was single, but not my type.
