    Default Some kind of manual...

    Greetings,

Today as it is the holidays I thought I'd get aroud to downloading a realism mod (I used to have RTR, but only got a little way into a campaign as soon after downloading I bought BI and so uninstalled RTR) after much deliberation I chose Europa Barbarorum

So I went through the fun of uninstalling, reinstalling, patching to 1.2, copying so I could have EB and BI instaleld simultaneously, installing BI over original version, patching bi, downloading eb over other version and then finally patching EB lol. I have waaay too much free time.

But anyway, I chose my first campaign to be Romani, 'tis the natural choice after all. But now I've played a bit and find myself in the same situation I did when I began vanilla; not knowing alot, but I had the manual which provided some help for vanilla. So I am looking for some kind of Romani EB manual that just tells you stuff like when reforms happen, or why they happen.

I don't really know much about the mod other than scanning the site, I heard there where two reforms or something for Romani?

    Gah, I'm clueless

We do have a manual planned for EB, but it's way down on the priority list:

Here's however a Roman Gameplay Guide to get you started.

And you can find various guides here

EB is making a manual. You could use the guides. Oh, and here's advice:

Disband your fleet (They've got a HUGE upkeep) and disband useless troops. Towns that are safe should not have more than 2 units of leves. Also, focus on economy at the start of the game, and make sure you keep the citizins happy.

If I was smart, I would have a witty punchline in this sig that would make everyone ROTFL.

    I'm not smart.

I already disbanded one unit of ships, isn't that all I have? Can't find any others. Thanks for the leves tip, I scared of everything revolting if I didn't keep decent troops in there (it'll take some time for me not only to get into the swing of EB, but to get back into thr swing of sp, I've only been playing mp for a couple of months)

Thank you Crusader for your links.

Hi, another question. When are the roman reforms? (there's two right?)

When did the hastati reform? Was that the one around 209? I thought there was another one shortly/during the war with Pyrrhus?

I am not quite sure what you are saying. The first reform (209 BC) changes Camillian units to Polybian ones: while the shape of your army won't change (except for the light units) your troops will be better equiped. The second reform is the Marian one and takes place at 107 BC. IIRC both reforms happen in autumn. An Imperial reform is planned but has not been implemented yet.
