I recently bought the Gold Edition of RTW and after that realising that I couldnt play EB. So i did some browsing to find solutions and I tried some wich didnt help and get me error messages.

Eventualy after lots of searching and copying files from a old directory of a 1.2 RTW with RTR I got it to work. I dont have 1.0 cd's anymore so that was no solution.

Here is how i got it to work:

1. Install Gold edition normal
2. Copy all maps and files cept BI folder into a new map called /Activision/Europa Barb
3. Install 1.2 zip patch
4. Install 7.2 and 7.4 patch EB
---> After this on most forums it is said to work but you get this error message when starting the game

Script Error in data/descr_sm_settlements.txt, at line 304, column 1.


I fixed this msg by copying that file from my old 1.2 directory and replace it with the one in my Europa Barb directory.

After that I get in the game start menu, start a campaign, Loading and then i get these 3 errors:

Data/models_strat/residences/ barb_city_wall_3Cas, barb_large_townwall_3Cas, barb_town_wall_3cas are missing.

So i copied those 3 files also from the old directory. They were just not in the Residence map of Europa Barb 1.5.

Now I restart game and everything works, i can play except one problem so far: the banners have no Symbol!!
