Adding provincial campaign descriptions

Is there any way of adding descriptions for a provincial campaign under BI
without overwriting BARBARIAN_INVASION descriptions?

have tried using format
{BRITAIN_INVASION_TITLE}BRITAIN INVASION by Wilddog & Makanyane
{BRITAIN_INVASION_ALEMANNI_TITLE}The Alemanni Tribes
{BRITAIN_INVASION_ALEMANNI_DESCR}Difficulty Factor: ESTIMATED MODERATE\n\nMarch from the......

at the end of campaign_descriptions.txt in BI/data/text and RTW/data/text and (as that didn't work) moving CD.txt into campaign folder but all that gets picked up so far is the BRITAIN_INVASION title in the provincial campaign selections screen. I can't get anything to change in the factions selection screen.

Was hoping to create provincial campaign that didn't mess up BI installation / descriptions!

I assume you mean faction descriptions?

The cd.txt file can be left in the bi\data\text folder and the new ones added at the end of the file. So your file might look something like:

¬Faction descriptions for BI (or the Full Campaign of which your provincial is a part)
{BARBARIAN_INVASION_TITLE}Barbarian Invasion

{BARBARIAN_INVASION_SASSANIDS_TITLE}Sassanids
{BARBARIAN_INVASION_SASSANIDS_DESCR} blah blah blah

etc...

¬Faction descriptions for The Provincial
{THE_PROVINCIAL_TITLE}THE PROVINCIAL

etc.

The prefix ("the_provincial") will of course be the name of the folder and tags and file prefix used throughout for your provincial (as with barbarian_invasion).

I have not, despite some considerable testing, yet worked out how to add a provincial campaign description. Anyone know?

Thanks, Dol Gudur, yes I meant the faction descriptions from the faction selection screen, but I think that your solution was what I was trying, from vanilla 1.6 BI campaign_descriptions.txt in BI/text now reads:

Britain_Invasion is the equivalent of your The_Provincial (still need inspiration for final name!).

Well, that should work - do you have all your file headers, prefixes and folder names set up to match?
