    Is it me or is does the first quote always seem to be the one by senneca about sailing to ports

    I believe that the quotes are displayed in the order in which they are set in the quotes file.

    That specific location is always displayed when you start the game. Any quote you insert in that spot will always display first. Theoretically, someone could create multiple files and write a batch file to swap them around before starting the game, if they got really tired of seeing that quote.
