    Question medieval alchemist?

    hello every body ,I am the new one here.
    i have some question about medieval alchemists,they are intimately related with monastey, are they always wanders? where can i find detailed life history about them?

    I myself don't know the answer to your question , it isn't my area of expertise so to speak.

    Alchemists were never related to the church. The Church always renegated them. Just like a not wanted plague.

    As for detailed history about them, just find books about alchemy.

    Actually monks were book-men. They really didn't have knowledge apart from the Antiquity knowledge. So no, no special relationship.
