Well, I'm in Argentina at the moment, having left everything I own (or sold it) back in New Zealand. I'd just like this chance to say, curse you all!

I *ache* to play EB some more, now that've seen the patch, the upcoming updates etc. While I'm certainly having the time of my life, the opportunity to pull a sickie from work, sit at home in front of my phat rig and smoke something illicit while invading Macedonia is sadly missing.

let's see, the defense;
Terry, great central defender and VERY strong on headers
Ferdinand, a very goofy bloke, but he's getting more and more on form and proving why he's the most expensive defender in the world
Neville, old yes, but also experienced and also very much on form.

Campbell, injured and getting on a bit. he's okay
Cole, brilliant wingback, but he probably won't be ready for the WC due to his injury.

midfield;
Beckham, say what you like but he's important to the team, and he certainly makes a difference. shame he's not as good as he used to be.
Lampard, super player, hasn't impressed me lately though, making me a it nervous.
Gerrard, another super player here.
Cole, brilliant offensive winger, he's great on the ball and dangerous up front. shame his form isn't too reliable. but nothing can beat him on a good day... when he has a good day.

S. Wright-Phillips, he really impressed me the last time he was taken on. the speed and creativity was great to bring some tempo into the game.

ROONEY!!! nuff said
Owen, the perfect team up front, these 2 are. let's hope Owen recovers well from his injury.
Crouch, can't stand the stickinsect, but he makes a difference when substituted sometimes.

there are a few other players i haven't mentioned. england has the best team for a long time! anybody who denies that either has no idea about footy, or is jeallous! :-P

last time england won the WC was 1966
germany took the EC off england IN england 1996
now the WC is in germany 2006
this WC there will be no sponsors on the ball, last time that was the case was 1966.
england has the best squad they've had for decades, which is top motivated and self confident.
last but not least, for the first time the english team has the same amount of time to rest and prepare for the WC as all the other teams.

I'm sure beckham has done more with his life than most people do with their own. I like to see you excel at just one thing in life - be it a sport, science, or art.

He has a wife and 3 kids, is a professional athelete and considered one of the best and famous in his sport, he models, and is photographed enough to start cultural trends such as hair and clothing style.

Furthermore the guy put up with ample abuse during games and steadily over came it to be cherished by the fans again. He's a hard player and was awarded the Order of the British Empire by the Queen for his contribution to the sport.

I have to say, Romeo is not a terrible name. I don't mind it.
