Ummm. The Spartans defended their city from the Epeirotes until reinforcements could arise and the Macedonians even came down to take a shot at Pyrrhus too. There was no dependancy to the Macedonians that took place after that battle. Within three years we have clear proof that the Macedonians and Spartans were at odds, and within seven the Macedonians are attacked at Corinth by a Spartan army. That is the part of this text that pertains most to our game situation and it's just dead wrong. In 272 BC, king Pyrros of Epeiros could easily have taken the city after defeating the Spartans. Sparta became a dependency of Macedon, regained independence under the tyrants Machanidas (207 BC) and Nabis (195 - 192 BC).
In 265 BC again, having formed an alliance with Athens, Achaea and Elis and some Arcadian cities, gave battle against Macedon but lost it and in his retreat was killed (Chremonidean war).
