If you want Advice on the Regions, maybe you should look for some help from Arthurian Total War.
It's a mod that specifically focuses on Britain from the 5th to 7th centuries, yuo will find help there if you post asking for some advice on the Dev forum here:

I turned to look but it was gone

You can usually pick up cheap and legit older versions of Paintshop Pro from the large software/hardware vendors on the net. £5.28 with VAT for version 8 at Ebuyer.com for example. Cheap as chips. I'm not sure what this has to do with anything though.

Looks like an interesting map so far.

When I was campaign map editing (seems like ages ago now ), I used to GOOGLE for the maps and then check the relevance of setlement / region names by using an encyclopedia such as WIKIPEDIA for example.

Think I saved some of these maps onto my hard drive, if you need more ideas for settlement locality, naming etc then they may be of use to your project. PM me if you're interested.

Your island? The Shetlands? Crivvens, my sister and her 'clan' lives there. Plenty of rain to be had. I doubt very much it figured much in the timeline of the Romans. Did anyone colonise it before the vikings?

It must have been an epic battle. I'm surprised they haven't made a hollywood blockbuster out of it. Mel Gibson and a couple of chums versus a few thousand angry Vikings. "They may take our island... but they'll never take our freedom... well actually they probably will considering they don't look like the kind of chaps to settle this peacefully."

lol i'm not wanting it as a city or a island u can step on, just something that
u can at least see on the map
because we were really close to scotland (but at the time we were a part of scandinavia)
